It’s the season of orchestra concerts, and this time it was the Taylor’s Symphony Orchestra (TSO) taking the stage for their 17th Annual Concert on 11th October 2025, titled “Frame of Wonder – Animated Symphonies.”

It was a two-hour concert filled with the magic and brilliance of animated movie soundtracks  from Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses, Tom and Jerry, The Lion King, Ratatouille, How to Train Your Dragon, and many more.

The orchestra was led by Mr. Sunny Chew Hwai Sun, their Principal Conductor, Founder and Music Director, together with Jia Herng, their Student Conductor.

We at Kane Music were truly honored to be one of the Gold Sponsors for this event and grateful for the opportunity to set up our booth showcasing a range of wind and brass products. (Fun fact: one of our interns,Timothy Lee even performed in the orchestra! )

The concert opened with the nostalgic Tom and Jerry theme. The tune instantly brings smiles and memories of childhood. The magic continued with Calling the Guardians, Fairytale from Shrek, and a heartfelt performance of Married Life from Up, where the trumpet, violin, and piano beautifully carried the melody, moving some in the audience to tears.

The first half closed with A Bug’s Life Suite, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and an energetic Lion King medley. Before intermission, TSO gave appreciation to their sponsors, including Sweet & Salty, Life Design Studio, Kromstudios, SandBox, and us !!

During the break, concert-goers visited our booth in front of the Grand Hall. Our spinning wheel giveaway was a big hit, with many excited to win small prizes. Some of the performers even dropped by to grab accessories! We also loved seeing the creative concert merchandise — from tote bags and keychains to adorable 3D-printed Night and Light Fury figurines from How to Train Your Dragon.

The second half featured Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses, Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Waltz of the Flowers, Ratatouille Main Theme, The Wild Robot, Oogway Suite from Kung Fu Panda, The Bells of Notre Dame, How to Train Your Dragon, and You’ve Got a Friend in Me from Toy Story. The concert ended with an encore performance of The Incredibles — a perfect, high-energy finish!

As the night ended, the performers celebrated with friends and family. It was a heartwarming sight of support and pride.

Personally, my favorite moment was the Oogway Suite from Kung Fu Panda. Composed by the legendary Hans Zimmer, it was performed with such grace and emotion that it became truly unforgettable.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to sponsor and be part of this magical event, and proud to have supported Taylor’s Symphony Orchestra in bringing animated soundtracks to life! 💫🎵
