Kane Music was invited to set up an exhibition booth as one of the concert sponsors for the Monash Chamber Orchestra’s annual concert. Other sponsors included Wood, Casio, and Sweet & Salty.

This year’s concert, themed “Cinemusica: The Score Behind the Stories,” was a two-part musical journey celebrating the magic of movie and theatre soundtracks. The orchestra brought iconic moments to life through powerful film scores and beautiful melodies from favorites such as Les Misérables, Hamilton, The Phantom of the Opera, Fantastic Beasts, Star Wars, and many more. This orchestra is led by Mr Chan Ling Chee, the founder of Chan Academy of Music and Arts and a conductor who guided MCO for a long time.

There were two concert sessions . One in the evening and another at night. We were lucky to attend the evening performance with complimentary VIP tickets from the organizers.

An Evening Filled with Cinematic Sounds

The concert opened with The Sun Also Rises, followed by pieces from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the legendary Star Wars theme by John Williams. The orchestra continued with The Dark Knight, The Godfather Orchestral Suite, and The Ecstasy of Gold from The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

Each performance transported the audience into a different story, filled with emotion, intensity, and nostalgia as if we were watching the movies in Dolby Atmos in the theater. It was a true treat for music and film lovers alike. The audience were really awed with the performance. After the intermission they continued their performance with Phantom of the Opera, Hamilton Suite, Les Miserables, Wicked and Chicago. My favourite piece from the concert is The Phantom Of The Opera because of the Iconic opening and The famous Hamilton Medley that include all my favourite songs from the musical.

Our Booth at the Concert

During the 20-minute intermission, concertgoers stopped by the sponsor booths  and our Kane Music booth quickly became a crowd favourite!

Our spinning wheel mini-game drew lots of excitement as both audience members and performers tried their luck to win fun gifts.

After the Intermission, we and the other sponsors also received a plaque of appreciation from the organizers as a token of gratitude for supporting the event.

Quick Fix, Big Help

Between the two concert sessions, we offered a one-hour quick repair service for the performers. Several musicians dropped by for last-minute adjustments, minor fixes, and inspections to make sure their instruments were in top condition for the night show.

It was wonderful to see how our support made a difference in both keeping their instruments performance-ready and in creating fun engagement at our booth.

A Memorable Experience

Overall, Cinemusica was a fantastic experience filled with beautiful music, great people, and lots of energy. I am glad to see some musicians from Taylors Symphony Orchestra and Xia Men Philharmonic Orchestra came to the concert to support.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to sponsor and participate in this event, and happy to have helped the Monash Chamber Orchestra bring their concert to life.

We can’t wait to be part of more musical collaborations in the future.
